Equipment
We have a range of high-quality surf boards, including boards specifically designed for beginners, and stand up paddle boards. We use top-of-the-range wetsuits with sealed seams designed for the local climate, which ensure you stay warm in any weather conditions and can enjoy your surfing! Everything you need for your lesson is provided – all you need to bring is your swimwear, some sunscreen and a great attitude!
Your Teachers
Ismael Herreros
He’s the owner and operator of Océanos Chile. He is an International Surf Association (ISA) qualified surf instructor and trainer, and holds certifications in First Aid and Lifesaving. Ismael has been surfing for more than 18 years and has travelled extensively to chase waves across the world including, Chile and Easter Island, Peru, Ecuador, New Zealand, Indonesia and South Africa. His high-energy approach to teaching and infectious love of surfing is bound to provide you with an unforgettable experience in the water.
Emilio de la Huerta
Emilio is a natural born wild guy, grew up on a botanical park (Parque Las Lilas) south of Santiago; where he discovered wilderness at early childhood. At the same Park started inviting friends from pre-school encouraging them to live everyday a different adventure. Now days, he splits his energy and time between expeditions, personal goals and spreading the passion he feels for nature in every way, since waves, mountains, and sea lions are all what he calls “one love” called by him upon Dean Potter Inspiration not as outdoor sports but as “outdoor arts” we want to be referrals, so surfing the best waves possible we can give you the best possible experience and even better than that!
